• The frame corner gaps or the panel sits crooked in the opening. This is structural, not a part failure. DIY or Call Us?

There is one part of a CGI sliding door that can injure you: the torsion-assisted lift mechanism on oversized Sentinel panels over 150 pounds. If your door has the optional power-assist closer, the spring is under tension and can release without warning. Do not attempt to remove or adjust this component. Mark the panel as inoperable and call us.

What you can safely check: the track for debris (vacuum, do not lubricate - silicone attracts sand), the roller housing for visible corrosion, and the lock strike for loose fasteners. If the handle spins, stop; forcing it strips more gears. If the panel drags, check whether the adjustment screw at the roller base turns freely - but do not remove the panel from the track alone; these units are heavier than they appear and the bottom rail can separate from the glass if mishandled.
